

BBQ Mastery at The Greenbrier
The culinary event will give grill lovers everywhere the opportunity to receive a crash course in grilling and barbecuing meat. Three of he nation's most well-known barbecuers will be providing hands-on instruction during these 3-day events being held June through August 2008. This unique weekend includes daily barbecue demonstrations and classes where participants can learn new grilling techniques to take home. The chefs/instructors and barbecue masters include Ray Lampe AKA Dr. BBQ, Chris Lilly and Myron Mixon, all of whom have years of experience and have won numerous awards for their barbecue expertise.
The BBQ Mastery package includes three nights room accommodations, a welcome reception, daily BBQ demonstrations and classes, a night cook and daily lunch in the class rooms. The schedule allows plenty of afternoon time for you to enjoy the 50+ activities at The Greenbrier.

Ray Lampe AKA Dr. BBQ teaches BBQ cooking classes all over the country and writes the "Ask Dr. BBQ Column" for Fiery Foods and BBQ Magazine. Ray is working on a fourth cookbook to join his first three; Dr. BBQ's Big-Time Barbecue Cook, Dr. BBQ's Barbecue All Year Long, and Dr. BBQ's Big Time Barbecue Road Trip. He has made numerous television appearances on Food TV, HGTV, CNN, The Outdoor Life Network, Good Morning Texas, The Discovery Channel as well as many local TV and radio shows around the country. Ray has been cooking BBQ contest for 25 years and has won hundreds of awards. |

Chris Lilly is one of America's best-know barbecue pit masters. He emerged on the barbecue scene in 1992 when he began working for the world famous Big Bob Gibson Bar-B-Q restaurant in Decatur, Alabama. As well as being vice preside of Big Bob Gibson Bar-B-Q, Chris is also head chef of the award-winning Big Bob Gibson Bar-B-Q Competition Cooking Team. He is the winner of 10 World BBQ Championships including six Memphis in May World Titles (a.k.a. "The Super Bowl of Swine"). He has made numerous national television appearances, including "Live with Regis and Kelly", "The Today Show", and "BBQ with Bobby Flay." He was the co-creator of "The All-Star BBQ Showdown" for The Outdoor Life Network (OLN). In 2006, Chris continued his television career as co-creator and executive producer of BBQ Championship Series on Versus Network. |

Myron Mixon is the Chief Cook for Jack's Old South Competition Bar-B-Que. Myron started Jack's Old South in 1996 as a way to promote his family Bar-B-Que sauce which was made by his parents, Gaye and Jack Mixon. Since competing in their first competition, Jack's Old South Competition Bar-B-Que Team has won 140 plus grand championships resulting in over 1400 total trophies, 30 state championships, team of the year six times and seven national championships. As a result of all their success on various BBQ circuits, they have been featured on several television shows including Food Network, The Discovery Channel, The History Channel, Travel Channel and the BBQ All-Stars on the Versus Network. |
